CPB Sport creates a sensation at the European Championship

It was not until this winter that Paul Bizalion decided to create the team CPB Sport, with Alpha Karting as a technical partner. Within a few months, CPB has already managed to find its way at international level, frequently finding themselves in podium positions. For example at the opening round of the European KZ2 Championship in Belgium. Douglas Lundberg consistently beat the frontrunners and is in third in the standings of the Championship; the Polish driver Pawel Myszkier shone on his debut in the team; and Charly Bizalion is ranked as the best French driver. The Alpha chassis with CPB will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming months.

A cohesive and effective team
Without missing anything out, and advancing in a very professional manner, CPB Sport can be proud of its very promising start. Certainly, their technical choices have helped them take off: the Alpha Karting chassis and a very competitive engine combined with an impeccable team and meticulous preparation before each event. Top ten results at the Winter Cup and the WSK Champions Cup, and the second step of the podium in a German Championship event are some of the results achieved by the French team, based in Ales.

In recent weeks, we were able to focus on the preparation for the European event and the work paid off“, said the team manager Paul Bizalion. “All of the drivers in the team fought well and proved capable of achieving great things. Both the more experienced, and those with less experience running at this level.

The new Black Tiger chassis obviously played a big role in this avalanche of results. Specially developed by Alpha Karting to work with the structural qualities of the current tyres, it has continued to gain in efficiency, versatility, ease of use and set-up, not to mention work on parts and design.

The results are there
At Genk, agreed to be a difficult circuit, Douglas Lundberg confirmed his speed and that of his Alpha / Parilla Tec-Sav equipment. Ranked 5th in qualifying, he won two heats and posted two fastest laps. 3rd after qualifying, he started prefinal 1 in front of the race, before falling back to 3rd position after a collision. After a good start in the final, he was going for the podium, before running over an opponent’s kart. Losing several seconds in the incident, he had to settle for 6th place. However his points from the whole of the meeting put him in 3rd in the standings of the European KZ2 Championship.

A Polish driver to watch
The unsung Polish driver Pawel Myszkier was a revelation on his debut in the colours of CPB Sport. Finding an atmosphere conducive to his development in the team, he achieved a beautiful prefinal 1, up from 21st to 9th place with the fastest lap. He also gained six places in the final for 11th, driving his Alpha-TM (preparation by Bruno Daldosso).

For the French drivers, progress has been notorious. Thomas Maingre missed reaching the final by one place, which would have been possible without a collision at the start of a heat. Despite his short international experience, Thomas posted excellent times, as did Louis Bonsaudo, who has continued to narrow the gap to the best with good drives in the heats (6th, 7th, 9th and 3rd positions). Charly Bizalion brilliantly won his place among the finalists despite retiring in qualifying. He then propelled moved up to 18th position with a gain of 10 places.

CPB Sport could leave Belgium with the satisfaction of accomplishment and an intense desire to continue the momentum …
