The past season has been definitely under the sign of success for Alpha Karting. True to its reputation as one of the most renowned brands in France and abroad for 35 years now, Alpha has had a particularly flattering record of achievements in 2013. After the European title in Challenge Europa X30, its triumph in NSK, the French vice champion title in Rotax Master and a victory in the final race of Challenge Rotax France in the Cadet class, the Alpha chassis have constantly been at the top of the standings during the Iame X30 International Final at Lyon, with ultimately a podium for Nicolas Duchateau.

A pole position, two victories in two heats, a success in the pre-final and a second world place in X30 Master for Nicolas Duchateau… The second fastest time in timed qualifying, in incredible sequence of six victories in as many heats (out of 119 entrants), a lead of almost 4 seconds in the pre-final and a final where Anthony Cout was in the podium fight until the end in X30 Senior… There is no doubt that if a ranking based on points had been adopted in the Iame International Final, Alpha Karting would have won it! Jean-Baptiste De La Brosse, another driver with Alpha colours, put in a brilliant performance but was not successful in the Senior final: he was 10th in timed qualifying, was in the top 4 for five heats and took a 13th position in the pre-final.
During this race, which gathered over 250 drivers from as many as 27 countries from all over the world, the French brand confirmed more than ever the performances and quality of its chassis vs. major European constructors, against a group of very strong drivers.

A Very Successful 2013 Season and a 2014 on the Right Track Already

Our Alpha chassis have proved to be highly effective during the whole week, both on Saturday in dry weather and on Sunday morning in the rain during the pre-final I won“, Nicolas Duchateau confirmed. “In the final race, there were still some wet spots on the track and the start of the race was a bit difficult to manage. Unfortunately I lost a few places. It was a pity, because I was the fastest towards the end of the race, I even set the fastest lap“.
Nicolas Duchateau, who was European champion, vice world champion and French vice champion, undoubtedly left his stamp on the Masters season behind the wheel of his Alpha, both in Rotax and in X30. This type of chassis developed by the French constructor is easy to adjust and drive, it is effective with all types of tyres and conditions, and has definitely a bright future ahead, with a 2014 season likely to start under the best auspices.

Alpha Karting managers can be satisfied with the technical choices made by the racing team, such as its partnership with Ludo Racing for engines, as well as with the good job done on the whole range. Mention should also be made of the many podiums in Mini-Kart, Minime, and Cadet, as well as of Alan Landemaine’s recent victory in the Challenge Rotax France final round, and of strong involvement in Endurance during the 24 Hours of Le Mans Karting.
