Countdown Started for Varennes!

Registrations for the first GPO of season 2011 will close very soon and the line-up of participants at the very first French Championships event on the Varennes-sur-Allier circuit is already very interesting. A number of foreign drivers will join the French participants to fight for the title at stake in a championship more open than ever.

The Varennes GPO attracts a high number of drivers because it is everybody’s favourite track and the quality of its reception keeps improving. This year the Southern region KF2 & KF3 qualifying rounds for the European championship, newly named Southern European Trophy, will be held there. In addition to French competitors, there will also be Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swiss, and German drivers, among others… The GPO KF3 category will benefit, in particular, from the fact that the meeting will be held one month before the European event.

Held in concurrence with this GPO, the French Cups X30 and X30 Gentleman attract a high number of amateur drivers, very happy to be on the Varennes track at the same time as KF2, KF3 and KZ2 drivers.

There are only a few days left, until 11 March, to validate GPO registrations on www.gpokarting.com. The FFSA has decided to close the registration campaign 15 days before the relevant event. Luckily, the online registration process is simple and fast: time is running out, so don’t miss out!

The FFSA also offers an online booking service for tyres and fuel. Just visit the Web sites of GPO 2011 partners. To save time, Vega tyres are available on Alpha Karting company Web site, www.alpha-karting.fr and fuel is provided by Elf, www.fuelforraces.com. Once the vouchers have been ordered and paid for online, they will be handed in by the TKF operator at the administrative check. But is also possible to buy them on site, from a Vega representative (payment by cheque or cash only) or from a Elf representative (payment by bank card only, except American Express)

The French Championship will consist of 5 meetings, held from March to October.
