Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) was 4th ahead of Boris Lyzen (Sodi/TM) and Sebastian Minns (LN/TM). Schaufler quickly put a second between himself and his rivals, led by Lehtimaki. Dean Hoogendoorn (KR/Iame) crashed out in 32nd position. Costoya managed to get back to 3rd ahead of Minns and Lehtimaki. Thomas Pradier, the only Frenchman in the race, climbed back up to 12th place, while Minns overtook Costoya. The gap between the top three remained at around a second at the halfway stage. Bosco attacked Costoya and moved up to 4th. Van Langendonck closed on leader Schaufler and dived on the inside on lap 14 to take P1.
