Mini Prefinals for Miron Lorente and Calleja

The Mini Gr.3 Prefinals of the WSK Super Master Series took place on a cold and sunny Sunday morning at the South Garda Karting circuit.

Prefinal A: Miron Lorente on the last lap
Cristian Blandino (TGroup/TM) took the lead from Daniel Miron Lorente (KR/Iame) in the first heat, while Nicola Stanley (EKS/TM) was 3rd ahead of Nikita Ljubimov (TGroup/TM) and Lucas Bonhomme (Exprit/Vortex). Nikita Botte (Lenzo/LKE) and Antoni Ociepa (Lenzo/LKE) fought their way back into the top five. Bruno Priam (Parolin/TM) then came in behind Botte. Zack Zhu (EKS/TM) was in the top 10. Blandino was unable to pull away from Miron Lorente, while Stanley, in 3rd place, was more than 3″ behind the top two. Miron Lorente regained the lead on the final lap and beat Blandino by 15 thousandths. Stanley was 3rd, Priam 4th and Ociepa 5th. Bonhomme finished 7th, Zhu 9th and Nathéo Combacon (KR/TM) 21st.

Prefinal B: Calleja’s winning comeback
Daniil Kutskov (KR/Iame) retained his 1st place at the start, with Mark Pilipenko (Parolin/Iame) following him, but Matteis Stigsen (Tgroup/TM) moved up to 2nd ahead of Zdenek Babicek (KR/Iame), while William Calleja (Parolin/Iame) moved up to 4th ahead of Alessandro Truchot (Parolin/Iame). Oleksandr Legenkyi (KR/Iame) had lost several places at the start. Stigsen dropped back to 7th, while Calleja reached P2 and attacked Kutskov to take 1st position, followed by Truchot. Antoine Venant (KR/Iame) came home 4th and Zdenek Babicek (KR/Iame) 5th. Calleja gained 12 places. Truchot was 2nd at 0.155”, Kutskov 3rd, Venant 4th and Legenkyi 5th. Ayrton Lamarche (OTK/TM) finished 20th.
