The OK-NJ Qualifying Heats of the WSK Champions Cup in Lonato saw two different winners. Lyuboslav Ruykov (Tony Kart/TM) won two of the three heats, but a second-heat retirement cost him the lead on Saturday evening. It was in fact poleman Valerio Viapiana (KR/Iame) who was in the lead with a win and two 2nd places to his name. Sara Matsui (KR/Iame) took 3rd place ahead of Alex Molota (OTK/TM), while Archie Lovatt (Exprit/TM) dropped from 12th to 5th. Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor (Exprit/TM) dropped back to 9th place after retiring at the start of Heat 3.
