Leuillet shines in Qualifying for the European KZ Championship in Zuera

Qualifying for the first round of the FIA Karting European Championship – KZ took place in Zuera on Friday afternoon with 31 drivers, including 10 Italians and seven French. The temperature was close to 20° under a light cloudy sky and a moderate wind.

Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished the second lap as leader, followed by Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) and Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM). Adrien Renaudin (DR/Modena) made his way back into the lead, but Leuillet took pole position with 57”850, a tenth ahead of his team mate Lorenzo Camplese (Tony Kart/Vortex). Danilo Albanese (KR/Iame) followed by a thousandth and Van Walstijn by 4 thousandths. Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 5th ahead of Francesco Celenta (Parolin/TM) and Paolo Ippolito (KR/Iame). Renaudin was 8th, Denner 10th, Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM) 11th and Arthur Carbonnel (CRG/TM) 13th. Tereza Babickova (Sodi/TM) finished 21st, Yogan Soguel (Oberon/TM) 27th and Paolo Besancenez (Birel ART/TM) 29th.
