Finale KZ2 : great win for Slater

Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM) kept the lead at the start against Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) and Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM). Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) rushed into 4th place ahead of Freddie Slater (Birel ART/TM). Bertuca moved up to 2nd on lap two. Leuillet and Denner touched each other: Tom was forced to retire and Emilien fell to 8th. Slater was back in the top three ahead of Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM), Alex Maragliano (Maranello/TM) and Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM). Bertuca took the lead on the fourth lap, passing his team-mate Palomba. Slater moved up to 2nd, soon followed by Vigano. Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM) and Adrien Renaudin (DR/Modena) had recovered four places each in 9th and 10th. Van Walstijn gave up on lap 7. The situation at mid-race saw excellent pace for Slater, less than 4 tenths behind Bertuca, who was under pressure from Vigano. Vigano soon attacked to take 2nd place. Viktor Gustafsson (CRG/TM) made a good breakthrough to 4th position with the fastest time against Maragliano. On lap 15, Vigano had moved up to 1st position, Slater replaced him on the penultimate lap. The young Briton obtained a convincing success against Vigano and Bertuca. Gustafsson finished 4th ahead of Maragliano. Renaudin managed to take 6th place (+8 places), ahead of Palomba and Iglesias. Denner was 10th ahead of Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART/TM).
