OK Final: Hanna Hernandez wins despite Bondarev

The afternoon started in Sarno under a sunny sky with the OK-Junior Final of the third round of the WSK Super Master Series.

Elliot Kaczynski (Tony Kart/Vortex) got off to a perfect start. Salim Hanna Hernandez (LN/Vortex) followed him in 2nd place ahead of Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame), then Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart/Vortex). Bondarev then took the lead ahead of Dzitiev. Tiziano Monza (Parolin/TM) was 4th and Dries van Langendonck (Energy/TM) 5th. An incident interrupted the race at the red flag on the 2nd lap. A new start was given 30 minutes later according to the original grid. Kaczynski was lucky to regain pole position. Hanna Hernandez was 2nd ahead of Monza and Dzitiev. Bondarev was only 5th. Hernandez took the lead to the displeasure of Kaczynski. Bondarev came back to 4th, then Dzitiev passed Kaczynski for P2. Gerasim Skulanov (Birel ART/TM) had made up 12 places to 12th. Bondarev was back in the game in 3rd position. Dzitiev then dropped back to 4th. Kaczynski lost several places while David Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame) returned to the top three. Hanna Hernandez and Bondarev had taken the lead in their duel for victory. Monza remained in the wake of Cosma Cristofor with 3rd place in their sights. Dries van Langendonck (Energy/TM) was 5th, a second behind 4th and Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) was 6th. Hanna Hernandez managed to hold off the threat of Bondarev to win the race. 3rd place went to Monza, with Van Langendonck and Drummond (+10 pl) in the top five. Jack Illife (Parolin/TM) finished 11th with the fastest lap and an improvement of 12 places.
