Four French drivers started in the top five with Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex), Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) and Thomas Imbourg (Sodi/TM) ahead of Alessio Piccini (Birel ART/TM) and Jean Nomblot (Sodi/TM). Denner was the fastest, but Leuillet finished the first lap in the lead. Alex Marigliano (Maranello/TM) came back strongly into the top five and soon threatened Imbourg for 3rd position. Leuillet and Denner had 1″ advantage on Maragliano who was attacking. Pedro Hiltbrand (Birel ART/TM) had made up seven places in 6th position. Leuillet set the fastest lap with four laps to go, while Denner was soon under pressure from Maragliano. The pass took place on lap 12. Leuillet kept his rhythm until the finish and won with a 1,3″ advantage on Maragliano. Denner was 3rd, Hiltbrand 4th (+9 pl.), Piccini 5th and Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART/TM) 6th followed by Imbourg and Nomblot. Prefinal B: Bertuca dominates
A good start for the Birel ART team with Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM) in the lead ahead of Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) and Freddie Slater (Birel ART/TM). Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM) quickly moved up to 4th ahead of Marek Skrivan (IPK/TM). Bertuca was not satisfied with his 2nd place and attacked Palomba to take the lead after three laps.
