Mini Final: Zulfikari by a whisker

Dean Hoogendoorn (Alonso Kart/Iame) led the first lap of the WSK Champions Cup Mini Final in Lonato ahead of Iskender Zulfikari (Parolin/Iame). Pietro Bagutti (Parolin/TM) was 3rd, Keelan Harvick (Parolin/Iame) 4th and Vladimir Ivannikov (EKS/TM). The Dutchman managed to get away while the battle was fierce between the chasers. Ivannikov took the lead over Harvick, William Calleja (Parolin/TM) had regained nine places in 6th position. The pack was catching up with the leader Hoogendoorn. Zulfikari went on the attack and took the lead on lap 7. Ivannikov moved up to 3rd ahead of Harvick and Calleja. Hoogendoorn paid dearly for a missed attack and dropped back to 7th. Harvick was 2nd and Calleja 3rd. Zulfikari won by a narrow margin, 63 thousandths ahead of Ivannikov. Bogdan Cosma Cristofor (KR/Iame) was 3rd ahead of Ilia Berezkin (KR/Iame), Calleja 5th, Harvick 6th and Hoogendoorn 7th. François Kerdal (KR/Iame) finished 10th.
