RMCGF 2022: Pharamond gets the fastest Senior Max time

The weather was quite nice, despite the presence of some low clouds over Portimao for the Senior Max Qualifying Practice on Wednesday noon. The war of nerves was already starting on the pre-grid to know who was going to start first and who was going to seize the best position to benefit from the aspiration. Nothing happened before 3’30 from the deadline for two or three fast laps. This little game was risky and sometimes reserved bad surprises.

Odd Session: Pharamond – 59”633
Guillermo Pernia Diaz first led ahead of Ethan Pharamond (FRA). The times then dropped below a minute. Pharamond took the lead and finished with a time of 59”633, more than a tenth ahead of Rohaan Madesh (IND). Kai Hunter (GBR) was 3rd ahead of Joep Breedveld (NLD) 4th and Janne Stiak (DEU) 5th.

Even Session: Butcher – 59”976
The tension was palpable as the battle for pole began. Michael Dauphin (FRA) already had a lap of 1’00”134 in the lead. Everything was decided on the last lap. Sean Butcher (GBR) was the fastest with 59”976, 8 hundredths ahead of Zsombor Kovacs (HUN). Miska Kaskinen (FIN) took 3rd place against Dauphin. Alejandro Samaniego (PRY) finished 5th ahead of Nolan Lemeray (FRA). Eduardo Barrichello (BRA) was in the top 10. Mathis Parlant (FRA) was not able to get out of the pack and settled for 23rd place.
