Gladysz poleman in OK-Junior in Lonato

The track in Lonato was still slippery during the OK-Junior Qualifying Practice of the WSK Open Cup, with the rain getting heavier in the second series.

Rene Lammers (Parolin/TM) remained the leader of the first session with a time of 1’06”224, while Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) was 72 thousandths behind. Salim Hanna (LN/Vortex) finished 3rd by 0.175” ahead of Bradley Majman (Parolin/TM) and Enzo Tarnvanichkul (Tony Kart/Vortex). Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) finished 13th in his first OK-Junior race.

Miguel Costa (KR/Iame) took the lead of Session 2 against Taym Saleh (KR/Iame). Zenrui Chi (KR/TM) was 2nd. Chi was 1st on the third lap ahead of Saleh and Peter Ageev (Birel ART/TM) who set an exceptional final lap of 1’05”823. Alfie Slater (LN/Vortex) joined him at 14 thousandths with Viktor Brandt Smith (Tony Kart/Vortex) 3rd at 5 tenths, then Alp Hasan Askoy (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Saleh. Andy Consani (Parolin/TM) finished 9th ahead of Iacopo Martinese (KR/Iame).

After Maciej Gladysz (LN/Vortex), Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) was leading the third session by a small margin against Edward Robinson (Exprit/TM). Gladysz returned to the top spot and finished on pole position with a time of 1’05”638, 5 tenths ahead of Schaufler. Griffin Peebles (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished 3rd, Guy Elbag (Tony Kart/Vortex) 4th and Jimmy Helias (Energy/TM) 5th. Andrea Dupe (Sodi/TM) was 14th.
