OK Final: Nakamura-Berta wins ahead of Deligny

The experienced Joe Turney (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) shared the front row of the OK Final of the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in the fine weather of Zuera at 20°.

The two team-mates started in the lead, followed by Alex Powell (KR/Iame) and Ean Eyckmans (Tony Kart/Vortex). Malo Bolliet (KR/Iame) retired on the first lap due to a collision. Powell moved up to 2nd and then took 1st place on the third lap. Turney and Kean Nakamura-Berta (KR/Iame) followed closely behind, while Coluccio was 4th ahead of Evan Giltaire (KR/Iame) and Eyckmans. Enzo Deligny (Parolin/TM) had already set a faster time than Freddie Slater (LN/Vortex), who was 8th. On the fifth lap Nakamura took the lead over Powell and Deligny moved into the top five, while Giltaire was 9th after a battle with the Tony Kart drivers. Nervous, Coluccio then lost several places. Deligny was in 4th place and on his way to catching Turney. He attacked him on lap 11 and was 3rd, 7 tenths behind Powell. Nakamura was leading with 1,6″ of a gap. Deligny attacked Powell on lap 14 and moved up to 2nd place, 1.8 seconds behind the leader. Eyckmans followed the move and passed Powell, followed a little later by Turney. Nakamura relaxed on the last lap to secure a magnificent victory. Deligny could be proud of his 12-place climb to 2nd place in front of Eyckmans, who was also brilliant, followed by Turney in 4th and Powell in 5th. Coluccio finished only 8th, Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) finished in the top 10 ahead of Giltaire in 11th.
