Monza and Przyrowski win the OK-Junior Super Heats in Zuera

The sun was shining on the Zuera circuit on Sunday morning, but it did not overheat the atmosphere as the temperature was 15° for the OK-Junior Super Heats of the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series.

Nathan Tye (Sodi/TM) and Miguel Costa (KR/Iame) started from the first row of Super Heat 1. Tiziano Monza (KR/Iame) and Guillaume Bouzar (Tony Kart/Vortex) immediately followed Tye ahead of Costa. Monza took the lead on the second lap. Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart/Vortex) had made a good start, moving up 14 places to 19th. Costa was soon back in 3rd while Bouzar was under pressure from Oleksandr Bondarev (LN/Vortex). The Ukrainian attacked for 4th place, Bouzar lost several places before being caught by Taym Saleh (KR/Iame) on the straight. Both drivers retired. At the halfway point, Costa overtook Tye for 2nd position. Kirill Dzitiev had made up 14 places to enter the top 10. René Lammers (Parolin/TM) then overtook Bondarev in 4th position and Helias took a warning flag. Monza won the race ahead of Costa and Tye, who remained in the lead overall. Lammers and Bondarev completed the top five, followed by Andres Cardenas (Energy/TM). Dzitiev had moved up 17 places before dropping back to 16th due to a loose spoiler. Helias was 16th at the line with a gain of 17 places, but was sent back to 26th with a 10″ penalty. Thomas Quincé (Tony Kart/TM) had made up 11 positions to 20th.

Jules Caranta (Energy/TM) started on pole position for Super Heat 2 ahead of Anatholy Khavalkin (Parolin/TM). Dmitry Matveev (Tony Kart/Vortex) took 2nd after the start. Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 4th, followed by Kirill Kutskov (Birel ART/TM) and Enzo Tarnvanichkul (Tony Kart/Vortex). Przyrowski quickly moved up to 3rd ahead of Khavalkin and Tarnvanichkul. Przyrowski then took 2nd place and started to chase Caranta. Louis Leveau (Sodi/TM) rolled over in the grass but was not serious. Przyrowski took the lead on the seventh of 11 laps. Przyrowski won the race 4 tenths ahead of Caranta, followed by Matveev, Khavalkin and Tarnvanichkul. Arthur Dorison (Tony Kart/Vortex) finished 20th and Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) 24th (+6 pl).
