Nakamura and Stolcermanis win the OK Prefinals in Sarno

The OK Prefinals concluded the morning in Sarno at the 4th round of the WSK Super Master Series in sunny conditions.

Kean Nakamura Berta (KR/Iame) started in the lead in Prefinal B while Freddie Slater (LN/Vortex) cleverly held on to 2nd place to attack the leader before the end of the first lap. Oscar Pedersen (Tony Kart/Vortex) had moved up to 2nd and took over the lead on the second lap. Sebastiano Pavan (KR/Iame) had moved up to 3rd, Nakamura was back in 4th passing James Egozi (Tony Kart/Vortex). Slater took over on the fourth lap, followed by Pavan and Nakamura. Nakamura continued to come back, 2nd on lap 5 with Slater in his sights. The Japanese driver attacked the Briton shortly after the halfway point. Nakamura won commandingly with the fastest time, 1” in front of Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) who moved up six places. Slater was 3rd, Egozi 4th and Pavan 5th.

Alex Powell (KR/Iame) was leading at the start of Prefinal B against Joe Turney (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy/TM). Enzo Deligny (Parolin/TM) was 4th ahead of Artem Severiukhin (Tony Kart/Vortex) who started on the front row. Turney took the lead on lap 2, but Powell and Stolcermanis overtook him on lap 4. Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) set the fastest time on his way back to the top 10. Halfway through the race, Deligny lost three places after an attack by Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart/Vortex). Stolcermanis took the lead on lap 9. Powell had a technical problem flag waved with two laps to go. Stolcermanis won the race 4 tenths ahead of Powell and Turney finished 3rd, Taponen 4th and Deligny came back to 5th on the last lap with the fastest lap.
