Franciacorta: Best KZ2 time for Puhakka in Winter Series

The Winter Series by RGMMC brought together 34 KZ2 karts equipped with LeCont tyres in Franciacorta. Qualifying Practice took place late Friday afternoon under a lightly cloudy sky and a temperature of 17°. The drivers didn’t delay taking to the track.

Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Adrien Renaudin (Tony Kart/Vortex) were at the top of Session 1. Puhakka kept improving and finished with 46’653 on his sixth lap. Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM) was 2nd by 0,272” followed by Renaudin. Noah Milell (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 4th, a tenth further back, followed by Jean Luyet (Tony Kart/Vortex) who confirmed the good form for the Greens.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR/Iame) and Tom Leuillet (Birel ART/TM) battled it out at the top of Session 2. Danilo Albanese (KR/Iame) took over the lead from Laurens van Hoepen (Birel ART/TM) and Paolo Ippolito (KR/Iame). Two tenths off Puhakka’s pole position, Antonelli was finally the fastest in Session 2 with a time of 46’864, 9 thousandths ahead of van Hoepen with Leuillet 3rd at 54 thousandths. David Liwinski (Birel ART/TM) was 4th, ahead of Albanese and Ippolito.
