OK-Junior: Prefinal wins for Dedecker and Ditiziev

The morning ended with the OK-Junior Prefinals of the second round of the WSK Super Master Series in the sunshine at Lonato with a temperature of 8°.

Oleksandr Bondarev (LN/Vortex) was leading Prefinal A while Dimtry Matveev (Tony Kart/Vortex) was replaced for a while by Kirill Kutskov (Birel ART/TM) in 2nd position. Douwe Dedecker (KR/Iame) was 2nd. Marcus Saeter (Tony Kart/Vortex) was back in 5th ahead of Enea Frey (LN/Vortex) and Maciej Gladysz (LN/Vortex). Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) was in 8th position and fighting for places. Bondarev was keeping the pace at the front. Nathan Tye (Sodi/TM) moved up 13 places to 8th position ahead of Consani with a fastest lap in his pocket. Dedecker closed in on the leader with four laps to go and attacked him on the next lap. Matveev and Saeter had passed Kutskov. Dedecker won against Bondarev with Matveev 3rd, Saeter 4th and Kutskov 5th. Tye was 8th with a gain of 13 places, Consani 11th after some great battles. Thomas Quincé (Tony Kart/TM) had lost 14 places to 25th.

South Africa’s Luviwe Sambudla (KR/Iame) briefly took the lead in Prefinal B, but Lucas Fluxa Cross (KR/Iame) took the initiative ahead of Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) and Kiril Dzitiev (Tony Kart/Vortex). Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart/Vortex) remained in 14th place and Maxens Verbrugge (Exprit/TM) had lost ten places. Dzitiev took the lead on the sixth lap ahead of Kavalkhin, Fluxa Cross and Tiziano Monza (KR/Iame), who moved up 13 places. René Lammers (Parolin/TM) gradually recovered from a disappointing start. Monza took 1st place on the 11th lap, but Dzitiev responded and Khavalkin took the opportunity to come back to 2nd. The battle continued with several changes. Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart/Vortex) took advantage of a fight between Monza and Khavalkin to take first place. The victory was decided between the top five in the last two laps. Ditiziev won 8th ahead of Przyrowski, then Fluxa Cross 3rd and Khavalkin 4th. Adaam Hideg (KR/Iame) came 5th (+10 pl) and Shimo Zhang (KR/Iame) 6th (+6 pl). Helias finished 15th and Verbrugge 17th.
