Team France Sarno – Friday Day 5 – 13 French finalists

The day devoted to the Prefinals, Friday escaped the forecast rain and the weather was hot, even humid, at Sarno. The battles have become even more intense in this final Qualifying phase. The races were only Prefinals in name, except in Mini Max. It was nothing more than an extra heat per driver. Of the 15 Frenchmen competing, 13 won their place in the Final. At this stage, the chances of French victories are real in Mini with Ratel and Raccamier, in Junior with Maguet, in DD2 with Picot, as well as in DD2 Master with Champion.

Mini Max – Compkart: Ratel and Raccamier on the front row

Jolan Raccamier challenged Andy Ratel’s supremacy briefly in another very lively race, while Paul Alberto was fighting in the top three. In a final effort, Ratel regained the lead on the last lap and scored another victory ahead of his compatriot Raccamier. Alberto unfortunately lost ground and finished 8th while Karel Schulz (FRA) climbed from 23rd to 16th place.

Junior Max – Praga: Maguet in the top four
The day started badly for Téo Blin, caught in a massive collision at the beginning of Prefinal A which forced him to retire. It was all the more regrettable as Téo finally finished 37th and the first unqualified. Enzo Caldaras drove a solid race from 22nd to 9th place, which allowed him to qualify 31st. Noam Abramczyk fought in the top three before dropping back twice and finishing 23rd, but he still qualified 16th. Sacha Maguet was very incisive in the top four of Prefinal B before finishing in 3rd place, thus ensuring his 4th position in the ranking.

Senior Max – Sodi: Caesar and Guillaume take up the challenge

Paul Fourquemin had set off to regain places to in Prefinal A, but his momentum was interrupted and he had to settle for a modest 25th place, which didn’t help his ranking with a qualification in 28th place far from his true level. César Gazeau was fighting hard to take 5th place in the Prefinal B after a seven-place gain. He managed to qualify 18th on a level playing field with Guillaume Treillard de Quinemont, 14th in the Prefinal B after starting in the top five. Florian Bourdon took 24th place in this last race, but he knew that qualification was impossible at this stage.

DD2 – Birel ART : Picot is on course

Nicolas Picot managed another superb performance in the Prefinal A by throwing all his strength into the battle to take another victory that earned him 2nd place in the ranking, and a Final start from the front row. Lucas Joly finished in 8th position in an eventful Prefinal B, but he was heavily penalised for leaving his corridor and found himself 22nd. This incident put him in 9th place among the qualifiers.
