DD2: Munaretto in pole position at Le Mans

In hot weather, 33 drivers took part in the DD2 Timed Practice of the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy at the Le Mans circuit in the late morning on Thursday 22nd August. Ville Villiainen (DNK – Tony Kart) started with the advantage of having dominated the warm-up against Paolo Besancenez (FRA – Sodi) and Nicolas Picot (FRA – Tony Kart). Besancenez fought with Daniel Machacek (AUT – Tony Kart) at the top of the table, then Luca Munaretto (ITA – Birel ART) joined the fight, but Xen De Ruwe (SVN – Intrepid) did not finish the session. Munaretto finally secured pole position with 52”392, Besancenez took 2nd place by 37 thousandths. In 3rd place, Machacek was relegated to 0,129”, followed by Claudio Pagliarani (ITA – Tony Kart) and Kyle Kumaran (ARE – Kosmic). Villiainen was 7th by 2 tenths, De Ruwe finished 11th despite his problems.
