After an extremely tight start, Martinius Stenshorne (FA Kart / Vortex) led the first lap of the European Junior Championship Final ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR / Iame) and James Wharton (Parolin / TM). Marcus Amand (Kosmic / Iame) avoided taking too many risks and was laying 10th while Tuukka Taponen (Redspeed / Iame) was 18th. Antonelli took the lead, Alfio Spina (KR / Iame) was 3rd ahead of Ugo Ugochukwu (FA Kart / Vortex) and William Siverholm (Tony Kart / Vortex). Amand came back to 8th, while Taponen was demoted to 21st. Antonelli flew away from the fray, with a 1.5″ lead in the middle of the race, Spina took 2nd place and Uguchukwu was 3rd ahead of Stenshorne and Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart / Vortex). Having dominated unchallenged since the start of the race, Antonelli lost much of his lead against Spina. Amand was still fighting in the top 10 in a lively group.
