Sarno: two heats before the Final of the Academy

C-D: Oleksandr Partyshev (UKR) kept the lead on the first lap ahead of Maxime Furon-Castelain (LUX), but Robert De Haan took the lead followed by Paolo Ferrari (ITA). De Haan took the lead and won by more than 3”. Furon-Castelain dropped from 2nd to 7th on the last lap, Ferrari finished 2nd while Partyshev finished 4th from Gael Julien (IND). Charlie Wurz (AUT) had to retire early in the race.

 

A-B: Christian Ho (SGP) kept the lead, Kajus Siksnelis (LTU) came in 2nd ahead of Justin Arsenau (CAN) and Jacob Douglas (NZL), with Elliott Vayron (FRA) in 5th place. The race was stopped with a red flag after two laps because of an accident. The two drivers involved returned on foot for a medical check and the race was restarted in single file for a lap under full yellow with five laps to cover. Siksnelis attacked Ho for 1st place and escaped while Arseneau and Douglas were threatening for 2nd position. Alxander Spetz (SWE) then came back to 4th. Siksnelis won against Ho, and Douglas finished 3rd ahead of Arseneau and Spetz. Vayron took 8th place and Mattéo Spirgel 13th.

 

De Haan retained 1st place in the standings against Siksnelis and Partyshev, Douglas was 4th, Ho 5th, Ferrari 6th, Bartlomiej Piekutowsky (POL) 7th and Julien 8th.
