Winter Cup: OK for Travisanutto!

Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR / Iame) followed Joseph Turney (Tony Kart / Vortex) from the start of the OK Final, while Gabriele Mini (Parolin / TM) was absent from the grid. Luigi Coluccio (Birel ART / TM) was 3rd in front of Leandro Anderutti (KR / Iame) and Dexter Patterson (KR / Iame). The slow procedure was triggered on the second lap, and the race was restarted on the sixth of 22 laps. Travisanutto seized leadership from the next passage and Coluccio also attacked Turney and started chasing the World Champion. Further back, Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / Iame) continued his progress to 7th position. On lap 13, Coluccio lost his 2nd place to Turney and was left behind in 5th place. Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) then came 5th in front of Hiltbrand and Coluccio.

The race was not finished however, as Turney closed the gap with Travisanutto, Patterson and Anderutti following the battle at a close distance. Turney attempted an attack on Travisanutto three laps from the finish, but came out too wide and Patterson took 2nd place. Travisanutto won the 24th Winter Cup in OK in front of Patterson and Turney, the revelation of the weekend. Behind Anderutti, Thompson was 5th after a 10-place gain, then Hiltbrand 6th with a 14-place gain. Sami Meguetounif (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished in 14th place.
