Antonelli flies ahead of Junior Qualifying at the Winter Cup

In the sun at Lonato, the OK-Juniors entered the track for their three timed sessions of the Winter Cup.
Philip Victorsson (Tony Kart / Vortex) achieved the best performance of the first session with 48”914, followed by Lorenzo Ressico D’Aloisio (Birel ART / TM), Andrey Zhinov (Kosmic / Vortex) and Thep Wernersson (Kosmic / TM). Thomas Ten Brinke (FA Kart / Vortex) finished 5th, Lorenzo Patrese (KR / Iame) 7th, Marcus Amand (KR / Iame) 11th and Arthur Rogeon (Sodi / TM) 21st.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR / Iame) impressed with a series of fastest times which ended with pole position in 48”491 in the second session, 0.168” faster than James Wharton (FA Kart / Vortex) and 0.260” ahead of Jamie Day (Exprit / Vortex). Aleksander Gubeno (Kosmic / Vortex) was 4th and Arvid Lindblad (Exprit / TM) 5th. Conrad Laursen (FA Kart / Vortex) finished 7th. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak Master (KR / Iame) stood out in the top 10.

Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart / Vortex) was fastest in the third session with a time of 48”545 on the last lap. Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (Parolin / TM) was 2nd by 3 hundredths, followed closely by Alex Dunne (Exprit / TM). Enzo Trulli (CRG / TM) finished 5th, Elliott Vayron (Birel ART / TM) was in an interesting 11th place for his debut at this level. Evan Giltaire was ranked 24th in the session.

Antonelli finally clinched pole position ahead of Bedrin and Victorsson, followed by Wharton and Kucharczyk. Vayron was 32nd ahead of Amand, Rogeon was 63rd and Giltaire 71st.
