Alex Baron Makes His Debut in KZ!

SODI official driver for two years, French KF3 Vice Champion in 2009, 3rd at last French KF2 Championship and among the protagonists of the current World KF1 Championship, Alex BARON’s results over the last few months have failed to reflect his real potential.

SRT Team Manager Nicola de Cola analyses the reasons that have led him to this decision: “Since the start of the season, Alex has been trying very hard to lose weight with a personal sport trainer. Unfortunately, and despite his great determination, it was not possible to ask him to do more without running health risks. At Angerville and then at Ostricourt for the GPO, Alex was exhausted after 15 laps, after trying to lose some more weight … Since we know his usual performances on these circuits, it was clear that we had to do something. After the World KF1 Championship round at Wackersdorf, where Alex was nearly 7 kg over weight for this category, the decision to move to KZ became imperative and this is why, from this week, he will join Kart Mag in KZ125, motorised by TECSAV. Naturally Alex will need to learn the characteristics of this category (starts, carburation, braking, etc.), but I think he will soon be able to show his full potential…
